Thanks for stopping by my writing website.
I worked as an economics consultant for many years, most recently as Principal, before I began to write fiction. My stories have appeared or will appear in Calyx, Juked, Salt Hill, The Florida Review, The Normal School, and other journals. You can read more about my stories on the Fiction page and access a list of publications here.
My work has twice been nominated for a Pushcart Prize, by Juked and Salt Hill, and I’ve been awarded the Gish Jen Emerging Writer’s fellowship by the Writers’ Room of Boston and attended the Bread Loaf Writers’ Conference as a general contributor. There. That was my awards and recognition paragraph.
I’m currently working on a collection of stories that explores aspects of Indian culture and emerges in a variety of narrative forms. I also enjoy writing humor and have published pieces at venues such as Points in Case, The Higgs Weldon, and Defenestration.
I received an MFA degree in Writing from Warren Wilson College and a Ph.D. in Finance from Michigan State University. I really enjoyed my work in finance. If you would like to know more, my pre-writing CV is here.
I grew up in south India and live in Boston.
